Malacañang on Friday fired back at Vice President Sara Duterte for criticizing the Marcos administration, saying she should stop the drama and instead take decisive actions to prove that she is fulfilling her mandate.

This was after Duterte expressed concerns about the current state of the country and claimed that Marcos had committed impeachable offenses.

“Unang-una, masasabi natin ang Bise President ay bulag, hindi niya nakikita kung ano ang ginagawa ng Pangulo (First of all, we can say that the Vice President is blind. She does not see what the President is doing),” Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said in a press briefing.

Castro said the Vice President’s verbal tirades against Marcos and his administration no longer came as a surprise since her actions reflect the real behavior of a Duterte.

She lamented that Duterte is now showing the characteristics of an “emotional vulture pretending to be concerned about the state of the country.”

“Nananatili siyang bulag dahil malamang ay hindi niya pinanunood or ayaw niyang panoorin kung ano ang nagaganap na katotohanan sa mga ginagawa ng Pangulo at ng administrasyon ngayon (She remains blind because she probably does not watch or does not want to watch what is actually happening in what the President and the administration are doing now),” Castro said.

“In fact, she admitted that she doesn’t want to help the President in his projects for the country. Drama pero walang gawa (but no action),” she added.

Castro also advised Duterte to prioritize her own impeachment cases before criticizing the current administration. (PNA)
