Bangsamoro Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua on Wednesday called on newly elected Bangsamoro Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) officials to embrace servant leadership following the region’s largely peaceful midterm elections, while honoring all candidates who participated in the democratic process.

“Serve with humility, compassion, and unwavering dedication. Let your leadership be defined not by power, but by service,” Macacua said in a statement.

He praised candidates for maintaining order despite minor disturbances, noting voters’ expectations for meaningful progress across the autonomous region.

The Chief Minister extended respect to unsuccessful candidates, acknowledging their “courageous act of public commitment” and emphasizing their continued role in BARMM’s development.

“Our strength lies not in division, but in our collective pursuit of peace, justice, and development,” Macacua stressed, framing the elections as a unifying moment for the Bangsamoro people. (PNA)
