Around 98 percent of the 5,106 members of Electoral Boards (EBs) and support staff who served during the May 12 midterm elections in Antique have already received their honorarium, according to the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

Comelec Acting Assistant Regional Director and concurrent Antique Provincial Election Supervisor, Lawyer Wil Arceño, said they started to release the honorarium immediately after the canvassing on May 12.

“In fact, there are already municipalities that have completed the release of honorarium to those who had served during the NLE (national and local elections) 2025,” Arceño said.

The honorarium ranges from PHP8,000 to PHP12,000, depending on the positions they handled during the polls.

Arceño said the Comelec has 15 days to complete the release. He encouraged those who had not claimed their payment to visit their respective municipal election offices.

Meanwhile, Arceño said they are waiting for provincial candidates to file their Statement of Campaign Expenditures (SOCE).

Except for reelected Rep. Antonio Agapito Legarda, who filed his SOCE right after his proclamation on May 14, they have yet to receive the documents of other candidates. (PNA)
